Red River
Forming the border of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, the Red River snakes its way across the prairie, luring outdoors enthusiasts to the Red River Valley for fishing, hiking, and boating. Explore US and Texas history, Native American culture, art, museums, rodeos, and more when you visit the Red River. And it’s only minutes away!
Lake Texoma
The largest man-made lake in the United States, Lake Texoma is fed by the salty Red River and is the home of many types of fish including striped bass, a salt-water loving species. Bring your boat to Whitesboro RV Resort and head out to Lake Texoma to catch those wily fish!
Party Cove Islands
Five small islands in Lake Texoma are the perfect beaches for sunbathing, picnicking, and playing in the shallow water. West Island, Wood Island, Hog Island, Treasure Island, and North Island are accessible only by boat. No boat? No worries! Rent one at a marina or call a water taxi!
Ray Roberts Lake State Park
Hike, bike, ride horses, and go geocaching on the banks of Lake Ray Roberts. Or launch your boat and angle for largemouth bass, crappie, white bass and catfish on 29,000 acres or clear, clean water. You can fish from the pier or the forested shore without a fishing license. Go swimming, enjoy watersports, and rent jet skis and other watercraft from the marinas.
