Just a little history about Whitesboro, TX! We were bound to camp here! This quaint little town came to be in honor of Captain Ambrose B. White, who made an arduous journey West from Illinois in 1848 (1811-83) with just a few families. A time when the lands were once only filled with wild plains & few trails. They set-up camp & settled in what is now known as Whitesboro, TX. At that time, only a few tiny buildings & businesses were nearby in Sherman. They called it “Home”, just as we do! Ten years later, in 1858, the Butterfield
Overland Express, i.e. Butterfield Company of Boston, opened up a stagecoach line, later known as Butterfield Overland Mail and from there history was made . Over the years, the colony of Whitesboro faced many challenges, but continued with amazing growth.
